Sim Tech Symposium - ADAMGel models

Chris Hunter, Simulation Technician at University Hospital Tees, recently attended the Sim Tech Symposium in Manchester, after being nominated for one of the brand new "Simulation Technician Awards." As part of the day, Chris delivered an hour long ‘live-cook’ workshop on his work developing vascular access models with ADAMGel. Chris’ project using these innovative models has delivered impressive cost-savings, and the models have received excellent user feedback locally. Chris was excited to share his work nationally, for the benefit of other techs and organisations.

Chris said of the conference ‘’on the day itself, I was a ball of anxiety, but I was confident in my skills and knowledge and proceeded to absolutely smash it. The Sim Techs from other sites were really enthusiastic, and mentioned their plans to take the technique back for adoption within their own teams. I had some fantastic discussions with other Techs throughout the conference, and can highly recommend attending future conferences to other Sim Techs. This experience really made the preparation time, not to mention transport of the kit, for the workshop really rewarding!
