Human Factors Event - Mind the Gap - integrating human factors into health and social care to improve safety and experience
21st November 2019, Durham Centre, Belmont, Durham, DH1 1TN on 21st November 2019.
The Human Factors & Ergonomics Community of Practice have announced an event. The theme for this event is ‘Mind the Gap – integrating human factors into health and social care to improve safety and experience’. The keynote speakers are Mr James Titcombe OBE and Professor Paul Bowie (NHS Education for Scotland). You can book your place through Eventbrite, the link is below.
There is also a call for poster presentations to showcase regional work where a human factors approach has been adopted to enhance patient safety, patient experience or work satisfaction. The posters will be judged and the winner will be invited to present on the day. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The deadline is 30.09.2019.
We are also still filling our workshop / breakout sessions. These will be 25 minute slots (20 minute presentation / workshop, with 5 mins Q&A). The workshops should reflect the theme of the event and look to showcase work that can be adapted and adopted in other areas / organisations to improve the application and integration of human factors in health and social care. If you feel your work would lend itself to a workshop rather than a poster please get in touch.
