We are pleased to announce that will be running an North East Simulation Network Introduction to Simulation course at North Tees Hospital on Tuesday 30th August. This course is predominantly aimed to welcome the new simulation fellows or teaching fellows that have simulation as part of their rotation, commencing their programmes this coming year. As this day did not run in 2021, the invite is open to trainees who have extended or completed a simulation fellow post in 2021-2022.

The North East Simulation Network (NESN) have organised two further training days for the Advanced "All things debriefing" course in association with CAE. There are 20 places per workshop available and these are funded by the North East Simulation Network.

The North East Simulation Network will be holding an Advanced "All things debriefing" course in association with CAE. There are 20 places per workshops available funded by the North East Simulation Network so on registration through the network this advanced debriefing course will be available to attend for those that have completed an "intro to sim" course either through NESN hosted (NTUH/CIC if NESN certificated, Northumbria University,DASH or CDDFT intro equivalent courses)or have a background of delivering simulation based education in line or other regions approved courses.

Quality and Patient Safety Conference - 13 November 2019

Health Education England in the North East and North Cumbria are holding a Quality and Patient Safety conference. The purpose of the conference is to share innovations across the themes of the HEE Quality Framework, patient safety and to discuss educational workforce challenges facing the NHS. The event will help to further develop knowledge of the themes of the HEE Quality Framework and raise patient safety as a priority in education and training and how learning from error can be implemented in practice.

For the second successional year the North East and North Cumbria Faculty of Patient Safety are inviting expressions of interest for the opportunity to attend the 2019 ASPiH Conference at Belfast Waterfront, 4-6th November 2019. The bursary package will include conference fees, accommodation and travel. Expressions of interest to be recieved by the 2nd September - see post for further details.
